How the end of year spelling test works

This test uses words from your year group's curriculum:

1. Select your year group: Choose your school year from the dropdown menu.
2. Start the test: Click "Start test" to begin your 5-word spelling challenge.
3. Listen and spell: Each word will be spoken aloud automatically. Click "Listen again" to hear it repeated.
4. Type your answer: Enter your spelling in the text box. An on-screen keyboard appears on mobile devices.
5. Progress through words: Click "Next" to move to the next word, or "Check all spellings" on the final word.
6. Get your results: See your score and which words you got right or wrong. High scores get confetti!
7. Learn from mistakes: Words you spell incorrectly will appear more often in future tests to help you improve.
8. Track difficult words: Use "Words I find hard" to see which words need more practice.
